| Trial Software - you can download 'demo' versions of two programmes for evaluation a) ShowMan Show Manager Software Suite
'ShowMan' is a suite of programs originally written for use at Stithians Show but is highly adaptable. It allows all aspects of a typical 'Annual Show', Exhibition or other 'Event' to be handled from a PC. 'Showman' is designed for a rather specialised task and it may not interest you. If you know anyone that is involved in the running of a Show or Exhibition, you could help me and possibly them by drawing their attention to this site. Thanks! See the 'ShowMan Show Manager' pages for more information. b) Name and Address Database and Label Printing Program 'Mailing Labels' approaches the problem of storing Names and Addresses and of Printing Labels in an easy to use and highly interactive way. It is not a mailmerge program, but is designed to be useful and flexible for the sort of mailing jobs that we all do around the home or small office, in keeping lists of Names and Addresses in an easy to edit form, and then printing (various selections of) the addresses on labels or envalopes. See the 'Mailing Labels' pages for more information. Full (Free) Software - you can download the following 'Freeware' programmes a) 'SaveRefs' SaveRefs is a small database programme specifically designed to allow users to build a database of references to articles in Publications of all types. After years of 'tearing out' useful references, I found it impossible to control them or find anything - or, indeed, even knowing what I had. So I recently wrote this small programme to help me manage the data. See the 'SaveRefs' pages for more information. Some Beginner/Intermediate Level 'Papers' on Computing Topics The 'Computer Topics' page provides access to a number of 'papers' about Computing subjects. These papers were originally 'handouts' that were given to my local Computer Club when I gave a talk about that topic. They are based at a level that should be accessable to beginners. Some may now be out of date with respect to the latest version of the programme concerned, but may still provide some useful background information. See 'Computer Topics' for more information. General Information about the Site Author and the Area of England where he lives The publisher of this site is a retired Telecommunications Manager, (and formerly Power Engineer) who lives in Stithians, Cornwall, England where he has been associated with Stithians Show (a large one day multi section 'Annual Show' - described elsewhere on this site) for a number of years.
